What should I check out while I'm in SoCal? I'll be with friends.

Back when I lived there, Huntington Beach had insane, notorious July 4th parties. Still the case?

Yes definitely, even more so I believe on the Newport Peninsula. "Rowdy" comes to mind.

Laguna Beach is a nice town/area for walking around, beach, etc.

I'll be alone, at home, for like the 6th year in a row. Fireworks don't pop my cork.

Well, at least you're being compensated. I'll just sit at home, and gain 3 pounds eating things just because they are there.

How is this different from any other night?

Are you allowed to purchase fireworks in CA. ?

If you are, get some friends together, BBQ, and blow **** up. Doesn't get more patriotic then that.

I hear SoCal's border is very loose. It's easy to get inside.
