I went with jeans, white buttown down, black shoes, and a black sportcoat. She said she liked the cologne I had on, so that was nice. She had jeans and a nice cashmere sweater on and I don't think it was cheap. She is smart, cute, and a Democrat. Does it get any better?
Well everything except the Democrat part, but hey, nobody's perfect.

I'm trying not to laugh at Democrats who proclaim no need to send American soldiers overseas or start wars "for no reason."

I've got a whole bag of "shh" for this conversation, please stay off politics in the clothing forum. First one to not continue the argument gets a cookie.

What kind of cookie?

Speaking of which, George Tenet got the "Medal of Freedom" yesterday. I laughed so hard and so long I nearly had to call the paramedics.

The only kind I have to offer are Internet cookies. Check your "cookies" directory, you'll find it there. I guess I should start offering gold stars instead - those are easier to give out.

The first date went well and we are planning a second for this weekend. I was thinking Andiamo's in Royal Oak for dinner. Thanks for all the help guys...
I don't remember that restaurant, but have you ever tried the Rhino Club in Harmonie Park? When I lived in Detroit, '89-'91, I used to go to the original Rhinoceros Club in Rivertown (by the Ren Cen) and it was great - live music almost every night, great food and an awesome atmosphere. Anita Baker used to drop in on Sunday nights sometimes for impromptu shows. If the new location is anything like the old one, I would highly recommend it as a place to impress your date. Bradford Then again, she is a Democrat, so who knows?

How did the date go? And, more importantly, what did you decide to wear?

The date went really good. The conversation was good and came easily and there were no awkward pauses. I paid attention to her and let her do a lot of the talking and was a perfect gentleman. I wore a nice pair of jeans, white button down, black shoes, a black belt, and a nice sportcoat. We are going out again Friday to dinner. Any ideas if you know metro Detroit?

Ah, but would SHE have let you do "a lot of the talking"?

Yes she did let me talk enough and I am looking to a nice dinner Friday with a nice shirt and my new Zegna... Any ideas for metro Detroit and where to dine?
