Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 357

I just may be a peasant, but if I'm shelling out that much for any kind of clothing, I better enjoy every detail about it. I'd pass on those.

no point in shelling out that much if you dont love them IMO
Agree unless you're a baller. I think my new year's resolution will be to spend no less than 300 on any clothing item besides stuff for work. Actually that goes in random fashion thoughts.

"well, that's just like.....your opinion. man."

honestly, i think lanvins, raf, and dior are the best of the best when it comes to sneakers. in that order. have never tried on pierre hardys though

CP shoes are like a white button down shirt. its a staple. obviously cool and their simplicity is inherently unique but not something id turn to if i was cruising down a runway.

187- Those are similar though not exactly the same as mine, if you don't love them don't cop.

I have to tell you the build quality is fantasmic, better than any sneak I've ever bought and they go for 625 here. It will be one of the most versatile kicks you can buy.

Anyone familiar with this brand? I mean, for $20 I don't have much to lose but I'm still wondering if it's worth it.

the other day i was at a store here in DC that sells lanvin hitops and the salesman showed me a design flaw in a pair. it is the winter 09/10 hitop with the orange satin captoe and brown leather sides. this model (like basically all other lanvins) has a white sole and the brown dyes in the leather on the sides of the shoe was being absorbed by the sole. you could see a very subtle brown color bleeding into the side portions of the sole. the guy told me it affected all the sizes they got of that one model and that it was apparent in boxed and the display model. i guess lanvin is aware of it and they are sending em back. doesn't seem to affect the ones with the blue captoe since they have a non-leather material on the sides. obviously i love lanvin shoes, just watch out for this sort of thing in the future. im glad the salesman pointed it out to me.

after browsing this forum for a while i am really wondering what everyone does... seems like by the time someone makes enough money to afford $400 sneakers they would be too old to wear sneakers, yet everyone here seems to be so loaded...... how do you guys get all this cash for such expensive clothes? (heck even the "cheap" stuff is still hundreds of dollars)

This forum can be a pissing contest, just like any enthusiast forum. Don't get yourself caught up over your head to where the financials aren't in order. Also if an older dude wants to trot around in expensive sneaks so be it, who am I to care for him?
