I could be wrong, but based on the shape in that picture, that jacket looks like it would hang with the bottom wider than the width of your shoulders, forming an A shape as opposed to a V shape with the waist being thinner than the shoulders; basically, doesn't look like a lot of taper, looks more like relaxed workwear inspired etc...just my opinion though...

I bought these in store for $225 total. Is this a good buy? These being my first pair of >$100 shoes, I'm somewhat worried that these look like they are not refurbishable. The upper seems like it's glued to the sole. Should I care about that? I'm thinking about returning them and buying a pair of RM Williams instead.

I'm not a fan of these shoes. What R.M. Williams are you looking at? The Craftsman Yearling and Blaxland look like good shoes. Or look at getting some Johnston and Murphy's or something like that.

If you want to resole them, I think glued is bad. Ask someone on MC, though. RMW are nice enough. I got RMW Comfort Turnouts (jodhpur version of the Comfort Craftsmans, which is the successor of the Blaxlands). Felt cramped the first few days that I wore them, but they've since broken in and are insanely comfortable. They aren't as stylish as I would like them to be, but that's honestly a minor point. If I get another pair of RMWs, I might get the buckle boots in black kangaroo.

What's the opinion on spring courts around here? Thinking of getting the white leather hi-tops pictured below.

I like Spring Court but have never been a big fan of the perf. leather. Also I'm shocked to see that their canvas sneakers are like $130 now. Does Spring Court understand that they are selling plain canvas shoes of average construction, made in Thailand?

Not a fan of spring court, but if you want to look sporty, or be ironic in looking sporty, then do it. You could always sell them at an ok price as they are a somewhat reputable brand.

Too gaudy, the lines, little tags under the pockets and above the top left pocket. Also that is a very in-between colour that I can't see working with anything.

? anyone have any experience with MMM slim jeans? Quality/finish/fit?
They're ok if you're looking for a slim jean and you can get a good deal on them. I wouldn't pay full pop.

while you're here, what's your opinion on raf's classic flat fronts? they're sold at sw so I figured you're seen/handled them!
