Yuck. You might as well go CM instead.

Disagree. I think that the more substantial Buttero shape works with non painted on pants much better. The SLPs work best with, IMO, more SLP.

Thanks, guys. Still trying to make a decision.

I hadn't seen the Buttero jodhpurs in their website but they are not what I'm looking for. I did see something similar to SLP's harness boot but again, a completely different style.

And speaking about CM alternatives... these Enzo Bonafe look nice in terms of shape (suede is lighter colour than I'm looking for and don't like the contrast lining either). More similar to the SeF than the SLP though:

By Walid floral print trousers in cotton. Sadly linen version is out of my size.

I like the shape on those - and I like Butteros in general - but the distressed toe looks off to me, kind of like something from NDC or Moma (which I've always avoided on account of the weird distressing).

Trying to decide whether to keep or return a) shorts (W+H) and b) jacket (Geller Richard from current season).

Low camera angle makes me look frumpier than usual. confused.gif

That type of distressing at the toe is easy to remove with a suede brush.

I vote no on the Geller jacket. Looks like a thin-lapelled Barena knit jacket

Thank you, I had no idea that toe distressing was brush-out-able.

I'm kind of leaning toward returning both the jacket and shorts ATM. I think black shorts look best with more minimalistic outfits that aren't quite my thing, and the Richard jacket is nice but doesn't necessarily fill a gap in my wardrobe.

Yea, I've done it to at least 3 NDC boots of I'm remembering correctly. Not sure if Buttero distresses the same way, but from the looks of it, I'm guessing they do

I vote strapless, although the straps are going to look a little more dramatic, if that's what you're going for.

Mr. Hare Toussaints

I've got some Burberry jodhpurs I've never felt totally comfortable wearing, and I might swap those for these as my sleek-biz-casual boots. I think I've heard mixed reactions about Mr. Hare's quality, and I can't decide if this design is really cool or just weird.

P.S. Most of Mr. Hare's stuff is on hella sale right now, and there's a surprising amount of stock left.

They cool

That moc toe stitching or whatever it is is pretty gross.

It is subtle
