Thanks for being honest. I was in that "surprise-find-and-sorta-good-price" state where you make bad purchases.

For 300 or a little more and with some patience I can get nicer stuff.

Toyo / Sun Surf ukiyo-e print Hawaiian shirt

Trying to decide if this is:

A. really dope

B. really dorky, especially on a white dude

C. a bit of both, in which case...?

Either B or C, but I don't think an answer without B can be right.

I'd feel pretty self conscious as a white dude wearing a shirt with a geisha print on it, but in theory it's a pretty cool shirt

Thanks guys I'll pass. Should probably refrain from bored rakuten browsing on a Sunday eve wink.gif

I actually dig the Prada Hawaiian-ish shirts (they have some great prints for aw16) but don't really want to pay Prada prices for a short sleeve shirt.

Also like the idea of an oriental print, but maybe one that's less in danger of cringe Orientalism, if that makes sense.

No. NO. NO NO

I'm really into short sleeve shirts with stupid patterns right now but I certainly haven't gone or needed designer, here's what I have:

  1. Vintage Christian Dior with nice CD and dots prints, very 70s
  2. Vintage blue one with huts and other beach prints
  3. 3X Vintage 70s-early 80s sorta more faded prints found at Chatuchak market (Bangkok)
  4. Uniqlo Liberty print
  5. something else, can't remember

Coupled with some white longsleeve Thai and Moroccan shirts and even Kurtas from Lemaire and Jan-Jan Van Essche I look like a proper hippie/70s/cultural appropriator.

Don't know if this counts as stupid, but I was looking at this one on eBay a few days ago. Tons of Hawaiian/ Aloha shirts on eBay.

I really like this seasons Wacko Maria prints but obv you're paying more compared to thrifting something or browsing rak/yjp/eBay. They even have that boxy fit and washed out colour. Plus it works with all your other Japanese stuffs.

@conceptionist what size are you? These might work, only a 45 left though. I like everything about them except the pebble grain.

I've been looking for quite some time for a nice and timeless leather jacket. Today i found one i liked, on 50% discount. Yet i'm not really sure if i should buy it.

100% lamb leather. 450 usd original price. 225 now on sale.

What do you gents think?

^ I say pass, but I also just posted a green zebra shirt above, so my taste is questionable.

Yuketen ripple sole derbies. Would dye the welt black with edge dressing.

Hoping they could do double duty with both EG-ish and tailored minimalist fits
