The answer is probably "yes", had I only the funds...

Been looking for a small, minimalist sling bag for a minute now. I was all kinds of stoked about the Noctex kidney bag, but it ended up being a bust. The strap was too short and thin, and I just wasn't a big fan of the leather used for the strap or for the bag itself.

Other options are as follows:

Andrew McDonald bota bag

- leather looks cool (reverse cordovan)
- unlined, but the inside shouldn't flake
- able to get a thicker, longer strap as a custom add-on
- not a big fan of the multi-colored zipper teeth; could be a deal-breaker depending on how it looks IRL
- way less $$$ than Guidi q10

Guidi q10

- unlined and leather apparently flakes (might have to pay $$ to get it lined)
- kind of impractical strap because it dangles loose (might have to get it sewn into place)
- more $$$ than Andrew McDonald bag
- because Guidi

For realsies tho, I'm trying to find a bag that I'm not ashamed of carrying around in public.

honestly, i've never been a fan of sling bags. they just seem awkwardly proportioned all the time. my rec is to go with a small messenger... maybe a julius gas mask bag? foo.gif

Yeah...maybe. IDK why, but I like the sling bag shape better than the messenger shape. The gas mask bag looks nice, though. Kinda $$$.

Is it that shiny IRL? Looks maybe a little more tech-y than what I had in mind.

This is also a bit "techy", but I really like it and want it

I think I tried that one out and it felt too techy for me. It wasn't bad, though. Could work for someone who's into that sort of thing.

Has anyone tried the Acne Town jeans?

I'm eyeing these, I like the subtle fading:

The Town cut is supposed to be roomier in the thighs with a tapered and cropped leg, which sounds good.

I haven't seen those in person but those photos are not making a good case for them

I have them in black, they work for me.

Re: bags - I've been using http://www.dsptch.com/collections/packs/products/shoulder-bag-black for a while now, and I like it a lot. Good back for work/ out and about when I don't want to carry something big, but I still need to stuff shit away.
