Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2786

That's what I thought but 14 didn't come out till 2005.

not crazy about that boot @il_colonnello. i'm fine with the modern military boot vibe, but the rivet/studs feel mall-level.

I realize I'm splitting hairs here, but does anyone have an opinion on which shade of grey would be better for a scarf? FWIW, this would be mainly worn with black outerwear, although maybe also charcoal and olive on (rare) occasion.

i'd personally go with the lighter one. would make for better contrast
post #41780 of 43468

What if it's too much contrast? This is coming from someone whose idea of scarf contrast was darkest possible shade of charcoal on black, so...large grains of salt

There has to be enough contrast for visual interest tongue.gif

Lighter (heather) gray easily.

Is it possible to tell which season from the tag?

I'm pretty sure you can tell by examining the last digits of the Comm line. I think the last digits correspond to year / season. So 2001, fall winter (02). @RegisDB9
 can confirm.

I think it could be pre-2010. I really got into Margiela in 2010 and most tags would note something like Com: Aprl 2011. Those series of numbers on that jacket make me think it's a much older piece

For example this piece is from 2011

How's the quality of Margiela footwear these days? I've seen grievances with recent Margiela items in other threads but those related to shirts (nowadays Made in Romania) and a leather bag. I have had excellent personal experience with their shoes/boots and apparently they are all still made in Italy.

MMM footwear is alright.

I'd look for something else though, honestly. SLP, Common Projects, and Rick Owens make some nice combat boots

In my humble opinion. Lighter scarf will work better with the black outerwear. Darker with charcoal, olive or navy. Simply because with black you need a contrast, whereas with the other colors more complimentary color would work better. Both scarfa are nice though. Are these Begg or Drake?

Honestly. Not worth the kind of money you would have to pay. I hit a James Perse pop up sale over Xmas. Most t-shirts were 10-12 dollars, long sleeve henleys $20 all pants, sweat pants $20-25, shorts $20. I scored two nice sweatshirts for less than $50/ for both. Original price was $235/each. Just wait for this stuff to hit sale.

OK, I'm pretty taken with the james perse stretch cotton trousers http://www.jamesperse.com/mens-spring-look-8323 but shit on me how do they get from $225 in the us to £252 in GBP

that should be 150 quid plus 20% import duty, hopefully somebody not as greedy will stick them on farfetch

Thanks! They're Begg's Kishorn scarves.

For what it's worth, I have a similar style Jonstons of Elgin scarf made of super thin merino in solid black (for formal events). I find it quite versatile. I would get one in very light cream color if I could find one.

Yay or nay to the design?

And which color y'all prefer?
