I've been looking for some reasonably priced combat boots for a while.

Lanvin

I'm not a fan of the extra wacky details on those. Are you just looking for combat boots, or are you looking for wacky combat boots? Not that there's anything wrong with wacky, but I think you posted about a pair of CP combat boots earlier that I thought looked better as far as regular combat boots are concerned.

Well if you don't want wacky you might as well get regular combat boots

Well, I don't find these Lanvins that wacky. That rope lace can be removed with no issue rom what I can tell. Meaning I could just use a black waxed rope lace instead. Full disclosure - I am colour blind so I may be missing something, but if you remove that lace they look like pretty basic black leather, no? It even seems like you could lace them up like normal and you wouldn't see the front zip if you wanted.

The CP's I still really like, but they are ~$550 compared to these for $250, and I am holding out hope that the CP's come in tan suede (or even black suede) like they did last summer.

In terms of a black leather boot I like the shape of these and Lanvins are generally pretty comfortable (basing this of the sneakers though). I just don't know if they are too basic for a $250 boot.

There's the extra row of blind eyelets around the top - or at least that's what it looks like in the first picture - which seem kind of extraneous, and there's the center front zip with an extra set of eyelets in front of the tongue, which I've certainly seen before but never really been a fan of; I prefer the more common side zipper on combat boots. The price is certainly reasonable, and I agree that the shape is nice.

Should I buy a used pair of Raf Simons Astronaut Sneaker (condition is good but used): $230
post #41667 of 42792
no

^I was leaning towards no, used clothing items kinda give me the creeps.

I wished Raf Simons would re-release the old shoes vandals and astronauts.
