Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2755

More of a should I or shouldn't I keep:

Think I like the jacket, just not sure the fit is right.

Please excuse robopose and business casual dress (threw this on over what I was wearing to work this morning)

super laid back and casual non-robopose (Click to show)

^^ i think the fit looks good, but that the jacket is "too much"/rather ugly...

or

or none of them?

suede Valstarino (keep / return)

pros:

- objectively kind of awesome.
- gorgeous color (slightly muted olive, which doesn't quite come through in the picture)
- really nice materials: ungodly soft suede, horn buttons, plaid (possibly wool) lining
- bomber jackets are rad
- works well with LVCs and Stan Smiths or Guidi back-zips, which is about all I'm wearing lately

cons:

- probably buying another leather or two in the not-too-distant future
- kind of short in the body

apologies for terrible mirror / phone pics; part of packing up everything you own in order to move is not knowing where your actual camera is. shog[1].gif

also tried on the all saints lorimer and was very nice, but feels a bit stand outish

will go try on the levis made and crafted tomorrow

hmm maybe i might save up until i can afford a belstaff

I'd second this.

1) Great jacket

2) looks completely unsuited to what you wear.

3) don't button bottom button

Yeah, the one I bought and returned had a really hideous contrast ribbing (kind of a vivid blue-green) that clashed with the suede (more of a forest green) and I decided I was better off getting one where I wouldn't have to get the ribbing redyed or replaced.

edit: found a picture of the jacket in question.

VERY small difference, I know. That might be the reason its being so hard for me to decide between the two...

 vs.

Thoughts?

German Deutschleder jacket? Superthick cotton that hopefully will soften up. Would of course exchange the buttons to black.

No real need, but it could be cool.

@hoodog

Prefer the top one with black hems personally. The grey one kinda got lost in the myriad of colors there.

So...not to harp on this, but what makes the jacket unsuited to what I wear (or what I wear unsuited to the jacket)?

I'm not saying it's not a valid perspective, just that I'm a perpetual noob and don't understand. shog[1].gif
