Looking for a dk brown/black boot and mid/high sneaker for the colder months. Will be wearing with a grey hoodcoat, grey/dark knits and mostly black/blue jeans. Thinking of a grey sneaker like these:
Not particular to CPs but I don't know of any other options. For boots, I'm guessing dark brown is the most versatile, but black would be ok too. Looking for something at least virgil height to ankles and plain toed.
Trickers Wetherby - Can't find a dark color for this. The Burford has a leather sole, would be okay with adding a sole but don't know if the shape would change too much. I need a commando/lug sole, something that wears well in Northeastern winters.
Alden/RW/Wolverine/White's - Too clunky or not practical for real winters (alden).
Virgil - Vibram sole, hard to find,
Viberg - Too many models, limited stocks. Not sure about the Dannite sole on service boots.
Blundestones - Seriously considering.
What else is there? Thanks for suggestions.
