Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2393

Sizing up one would not particular help since it has more to do with the cut of the pants rather than styling

Gotcha, thanks.

I'm torn between a Margiela or a RRL leather jacket. I don't want to show pics but will do with the chosen one. With your knowledge of these brands, which brand should I go for?

Just a clue: the RRL buttons up and it's classy while the Margiela zips up and the design is cray

Neither. I don't like buttons on leather jackets but I don't like crazy designs either.

thanks for the input. If you are to choose between these 2 brands though, which one would you buy?

This is so much variance in both designs and materials in both brands depending on which leather and style. Question can't be answered unless we see actual leathers being discussed. Both have paper thin cardboard leathers and very nice leather as well

I don't really wanna give mor deets on both LJs because I want to base my decision on which brand you guys think manufactures better and has more prestige.

The Margiela is made of a thinner leather to allow design manipulation and the RRL is made of a thicker leather that compliments it's updated-classic shape

RRL for sure.... the MMM is fugly. Not sure I'm sold on the RRL's pockets though, looks too leather blazer-ish... but it's not a big deal, if you like it go for it!

thank you for your suggestion and sorry for the late reply I just finished eating my wonton soup. I personally like the RRL because the leather is so thick and indestructible and for sure will last a lifetime but there's something with the Margiela that speaks art to me. Yeah you said it looks "fugly" but it's in the eye of the beholder, no offense. Ugly can be good and from what I've been hearing from my artists friends lately about things that are so ugly that is beautiful. anyways I appreciate your thoughts on the subject matter and I will let you know what I buy

I'll say that from your waywt fits, the design of the Margiela would seem to suit you more.

Personally, I think that you'd pull off the RRL really well and possibly better than the MMM.

If I pull the trigger on the Margiella, the fit will be like me encased in a sausage casing which to make it a positive will encourage me to shed some lbs. I know that sounds dumb. I tried on the RRL in the stores already and the XXL fits snug but I can wear it unbuttoned. But the Margiela looks so post apocalyptic and futuristic that's what I'm feeling right now I mean it's already 2014
