re: camel - i always want to buy a camel coat but can't ever justify it because i know i won't wear it enough. they look great though.

wavering between two versions of a coat: a black/white herringbone tweed (swatch below) and solid black melton. coat is basically a trench. the tweed is nice. the black is just more basic. anyone own a tweed coat? thoughts?

in RFT as if you were fishing for an argument.  It comes off as someone who's been #Classic #Menswear their entire life and can't accept fashion choices not their own and as someone who doesn't have much prior knowledge anyways.

Dude, haven't you heard of harem pants?  They've been around forever in numerous cultures.

Seriously, relax.  If you are new, just take a lot of it in for a while, but don't go around posting obnoxious shit.

No. I have no power over you, and you are free to do whatever you want. I just personally find you annoying.

What is lining?  If it's one of the camo patterns, go for it.  If it's just black on the other side, it's not as cool since it doesn't really feel like two different jackets at that point.

Only time I've ever worn classic menswear is at weddings.

Picked up this tidbit from wiki:

They've also emerged as a "modern" version of harem pants made popular in the late 1980s by M. C. Hammer[2] and thus known as Hammer pants. They are intended to be made more fashionable and require less fabric.

Knowledge has nothing to do with aesthetics, and they're ugly all around in 'our' culture.

What, pray tell, is 'our' culture?

A different culture, a different context than the one in which they originated? FFS, the guy just expressed an opinion on pants, and a pretty bland one at that. Quit goading the noobs, then acting surprised or indignant when they lash back.
