I like field jackets in general, and I like this one due to the color and the fabric which is quite fantastic + I thought size fits me. But it is quite 'different' since very distressed dye colour, so maybe that's the issue ?

Great to hear your feedback.

Do you mind pointing out which will works on these sneakers?

Thanks!

It's just the color. It will be hard to work in, and something else will almost always look better.

which clunky suede boots

alden

or

viberg

vibergs are about $150 more, but the roughout suede might be a little tougher

I like this jacket a lot. Velveteen fabric is perfect for fall and it's kinda romantic cut as a M65 field jacket. The robin blue color looks good on your coloring and it makes you look like a charming prince from a fairy tale. Maybe Captain Smith of Pocahontas, anyways, I would style it with a skinny printed silk scarf and fine wale corduroy jeans in burgundy or brown.

I like the aldens better aesthetically...given alden quality, I'd prob need to try the vibergs in person to understand what justifies the extra 150

Suede and rough out are both fine with proper care comes down to which pair fits better and which one you like more. Viberg had a bigger price tag but if you are wearing the boots for 5 years or more its pretty irrelevant in long term cost

Our Legacy coat... Should I cop at retail or keep looking? I need a simple wool coat for work.

What do you mean by "bad", the style or the quality/materials? I was looking for a green tie and I like the green/blue rep look. Where can I do better at that price point (club Monaco would be about 50 with a discount and CT is 40)

A solid green grenadine or knit tie would be much better.
