How does it look open? Some super casual jackets (like some Eng Garments blazer styled stuff) I just never button.

I want a sportier grey blazer than the one I have but not sure if this one is too sporty considering I'm 35 already.

Depends on the fit, it might be okay. That is a lot of money for a washed cotton blazer though.

Why are you concerned that it would be "too sporty" for someone who is 35 y/o? I can't think of many things that would be too sporty for a 35 y/o that weren't already awful to begin with. They might be unsuitable for other reasons than age however.

@ Mies, that is too small and doesn't really flatter generally. If you want to keep, maybe just don't button it like Shore says. I wouldn't keep it though. fwiw Barena doesn't look good on me, sometimes that is just how it is.

Thoughts on this indigo combat jacket by Ovadia? I'm looking for something to transition into fall with.

There's something vaguely custodian about it. I don't know, flip a coin.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I'm rather interested in it because I quite like the fabric they use - it's a technical fabric that's waterproof/breathable, but it's not super-lightweight like all the other technical garments on the market at the moment. Some heft to it that means it doesn't have to be all minimal like all the other tech stuff.

Possibly better in navy.

I feel like it could be cool but the only pics that I can find are on mannequins and it's very difficult to tell how it would look in an actual fit.

Yeah the mannequin fits are not doing any favors for it. Navy is better for sure. It could work. The waterproof/breathable aspect I definitely like. It feels like the tech fabric would do better with some kind of print or something, a digi camo or something to bring it out, lighten it up, give it some pop.

I don't like that huge pocket

Od looks much better (on a real person no less). For some reason it reminds me of a Geller 3/4 length ma-1 sample that was on the styleforum market last week. Cut long to protect against whatever, both sort of skirt the norm with respect to military inspired jackets. I like that. Anyway, it's up to you man, if you think you can make it work...
