SW&D: Givenchy black coated jeans

MC: Carmina calf austerity brogue (caramel) or something in suede
PS I think I need to upgrade one of my workhorse navy suits. Suggestions (<$1000 ideally)? Separates would be a plus too since pants are always too big if I buy together (10" drop or so)... Also, that bit of behind the back collar bunching is going to be almost impossible to avoid without going MTM/bespoke right?

Places I know that sell separates for under 1k:

1. Brooklyn tailors (though the jackets look shoooort)
2. Barneys Co-Op (say hello to Theory, Shipley & Halmos, Rag & Bone, and PS Paul Smith!)
3. Epaulet (STANLEYVANBURENSTANLEYVANBUREN)

Oh, and there's the Outlier super lightweight suit. I've sort of been meaning to give that one a try.

when i fitted suits on dudes at my SA job, neck roll would be pretty unpredictable. I'm not sure anyone consistently had it-- like, it varied quite a bit depending on the suit. But it's not a big deal to get it fixed like, say, sleeve pitch would be. i wouldn't worry about it

Here's a shot of the F+B derby toebox from above. I just picked up a pair in brown that's slightly slimmer.

that toebox and maybe angle is making your size 12 feet look TINY

laugh.gif I'm guessing that has something to do with the angle. Try shooting straight down from your chest at about shoulder height and compare results.

IDK, but I think this is a fairly normal toebox shape for F+B.

I like Boglioli or Caruso (the Italian style fits my frame) which you can somtimes find on Yoox for under 1k , but for a more British (i.e. taller, thinner) silhouette, I like this Richard James. Not sure if you can get separate sizes for jkt/pants though.

The roll under the collar is pretty common and usually an easy fix for a decent tailor. Would still likely be an issue on an MTM jacket.

what do you guys think of these?  for 50 dollars?

I think that 50 dollars is the maximum that they should cost.

Anyone know sizing on this? Thinking of getting what you think. Would it fit a 40? Or it it slimmer.
