There are quite a few UK retailers online, but your best bet would be the OS site itsself

Oliver Spencer is definitely on a nice, slow, burn. The accessories are nice (I have the very simple "Cadet" belt (FW07), and the slim belt from SS08 is very cool as well,) and the cut and details of the clothes are well thought out. The brand is carried by surprisingly fewer retailers than I'd expect, considering that it's accessible, and priced comfortably. I would have expected it in as many stores as Rag&Bone, but I suppose that the line suffers from not having any denim in it.

Good call on the Julius bag. I think that compromise is the source of discontent. If you have your heart set on something, nothing else will compare favorably.

I own quite a few pieces from OS - five+ shirts, a trench, a wool jacket, two suits, etc. The quality is great (as is the fit) for the price which is very reasonable by SF standards. The wool jacket I own from him is probably my favorite coat (if not my second). It is from fw 2007 and is button down but the button start straight and curve to the side (a signature of his) and creates a nice asymetrical look. It isnt a long coat and stops just below the waist.

FYI - his location in NYC moved to the east village where Den used to be - next to the EV Odin. Odin will be taking over the greenwhich st location.

There was a store in venice that carried his line along with other english labels and when I first handled the pieces I could tell the fabrics were excellent. I almost bought picked up a jacket but it was more than I wanted to spend at the time. I hope the quality hasn't dropped and I think more SFers should look into the line it's a solid solid mid price brand. I believe GS is an endorser as well.

That's a good way of putting it.

I'm impressed with Oliver Spencer. It seems rather wearable.

well that's a resounding yes then. looks like i'm getting the peacoat! (as soon as payday comes round...)

it is good value in my opinion, £290 for a 100% wool, made in England. The most obvious match I could find was at Acquasutum for about £550.

I've noticed this season, most coats I've seen at the £250 - £300 range seem to have about 20% polyester, which I feel doesn't age quite as nicely as pure wool.

I previously approved of this purchase.

Thanks, I saw it posted, but didn't see any opinions. Looks like TBS is getting a good chunk of my change this fall.

I ordered the SNS Herning Stark high neck in navy. TBS is doing alot of things right.

How did you size it? I might be doing the same soon.

I'll still plan on getting the Stark, but I think it could be great with pockets.

Any online retailers that you know of? I'm interested, given the resounding endorsement they're getting here (esp. jet saying they're a great mid-price).

Should I buy a pair of Alden unlined chukkas? They're much more than my established limit but I keep looking at alternatives and nothing appeals to me nearly as much. How are Greeson as an alternative?

What ya'll think of this jacket from Gilt?

Here is my situation: I live in LA and have very little use for a heavy coat. I have a pea-coat and thats it. But Im going to Spain in November and dont want to lug a heavy pea coat. Is this a decent alternative? Any better options?
