Some dude is selling a Nice Collective bag in B&S that is a little more subdued with leather that is probably just as nice for a fraction of the cost and was likely similar in price to that Julius bag at retail.

I saw the Nice Collective bag on the formus for $250 ($500 retail)....



Not bad, I could see myself carrying it. However, I still like the looks of the Julius bag a lot better. I think the Nice bag is a little too generic looking-- it does not excite me. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Anyway, I just went ahead and ordered the Julius bag. I've mostly given up on the idea of buying items I don't like quite as much just because they're cheaper. Spending a large amount of money on an item I love and use heavily doesn't bother me nearly as much as spending money on something that I never use (or end up disliking).

I personally like the peacoat, it has nice small details without looking overdesigned. I'd buy it, jimmy. As for the Aldo shoes, I feel the first pair have an ugly toe and weird upper (is that really leather?), and the second pair has too much contrast stitching.

I don't get what's costumey about that piece plus they fit well and are nicely made (or were last time I tried them on a few years ago). Oliver spencer is definitely underrated.

maybe costumey isnt the right word, a un necessary redesign of a classic body?

I am actually a bit surprised more people in the forum dont give this brand some love. I own quite a few pieces from OS - five+ shirts, a trench, a wool jacket, two suits, etc. The quality is great (as is the fit) for the price which is very reasonable by SF standards. The wool jacket I own from him is probably my favorite coat (if not my second). It is from fw 2007 and is button down but the button start straight and curve to the side (a signature of his) and creates a nice asymetrical look. It isnt a long coat and stops just below the waist.

FYI - his location in NYC moved to the east village where Den used to be - next to the EV Odin. Odin will be taking over the greenwhich st location.
