Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2137

this is a little hypocritical coming from me but tbh the v is too high, lapels are too small, and the quarters are oddly spaced

I just need a nice pair of side-zips, I was looking at HMMM boots a day ago but for a bit more I think the F+B are probably worth it. I wouldn't mind a pair of Guidis, but I like their lace-up models better anyway.

I really like distressed boots like the ones made by Guidi, Augusta...

The problem is that I'm not quite as baller as I would like.

I've seen this more affordable pair in the baller boots thread, 10 Sei 0 Otto, which have the general aesthetic I'm looking for even though if their quality it's not as good as the aforementioned:

They're about 480€/$630.

I'm afraid I would also have to sell something as I've spent too much lately. Probably it would be a pair of BNWT Dior Homme Jake jeans.

Should I keep my jeans or sell and buy those boots?

^^^ keep the jakes, buy guidi, sell kidney

You're probably right. I was planning on wearing it as a 3-roll-2 (pretty sure I could steam the lapels into place if they wouldn't cooperate), but that still wouldn't do anything about the quarters. The way the seams are stitched makes it look basically untailorable anyway.

I think I just wanted it because it's called the Murakami jacket. shog[1].gif

Even so, it could be named after the artist, about whose work I know nothing.

Which F+B model are you looking at? I had assumed Elf, but they have some more straightforward side-zips as well. If the latter, I'd probably go with Buttero over F+B. I don't claim to be an expert, but the Butteros I have just seem a little nicer than the F+Bs. AFAIK, though, there aren't any Buttero models with a wrinkled vamp like on the Elf boots, which themselves aren't bad by any means.

casey, I dun think f+B is going to look good with what you're wearing. Better for someone with a little volume. Then again, I'm not sure you know what you want to be wearing, so maybe not terrible. Not great if you want to to wear slim jeans slim blazer fits.

Hey guys, first post here :)

Just wondering what you thought about these?

I like the black minimalist style and they seem to fit into my student budget

the claes i owned were pretty poorly made, leather wasn't very good, lining started peeling after a couple months. I'd skip.

Cheers, Any alternatives that are similar ?

hmm i can't think of any with the same derby-like quarter and vamp, but at that price point you can't go wrong with supergas, spring courts, seavees, some vans, etc

just fyi, since you said the devoa was a bit too tight, the attachment probably won't fit you. it's even tighter in the arms and has a much more severe waist suppression.
