I prefer the common projects derbies, but they're a little pricey

I think it's c-shade. Pretty sure acorn is a little more...yellow, maybe? Anyway, I thought they were size 10.5 UK, but it turns out that they're size 10, fitting 5. confused.gif

The search for a decent pair of non-black plain-toe derbies continues...

Definitely not Acorn - Acorn is much more yellow and paler. I think you're right on C-shade.

Yes Tricker's (along with Ducker's and a couple of other companies) use the old style numerical width notation with 5 being standard width, leading to a lot of mis-labeled ebay 'bargains'.

If anyone is after olive suede Tricker derbies these are a good price: http://www.asos.com/Trickers/Trickers-Daniel-Suede-Derby-Shoes/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2336693&SearchQuery=trickers&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Green - whole sizes only though.
