Pick stiching on an odd jacket, espcially a solid coloured jacket, helps differentiate it from an orphaned suit jacket. It is a classic element of tailoring. You must weight this against the slightly "vintage" look it projects.
Thanks, you can't tell from the pic but it is actually a suit jacket not an odd jacket. I have the pants too.
The sleeves need to be let out about an inch, so if my tailor says that can be done (look like it can) then I plan to keep it.
