You could wait to find the CP's and in the meantime get the GAT's via user Zeemon. They're not MMM but original gat's and could probably be a good beater shoe. I haven't received my order yet (later this week) so I can't comment on fit, quality, etc but people on the German Army Trainer thread seem to be pretty content with them.

I am really liking these J. Crew suede bucks: http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/shoes/oxfords/PRDOVR~43275/43275.jsp (thinking of the "natural" colored one)

I can get them with a 15% discount, but would it be worth it? My mind says I can get a lot better bucks than these. Any suggestions?

Nothing wrong with them visually, nice simple shoes, but I wouldn't be able to comment on the quality/value for money.

Dude at that price no way. Look for Walk-Over brand bucks. The quality is better and you should be able to find them for cheaper.
