Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2079

Sorry for the atrocious picture and the slightly messy room (just got the SS Berber coat in today icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif ). Debating selling this small Ervell pocket sweater and sizing up to a medium, thoughts (if you can even tell how it fits, tried to adjust the levels but didn't seem to help much)?

You gonna have KJ sleeves if you size up.
I would size up. Tight sweaters suck.
it's not really that tight. you can see there's some slack where the hem hits the waist

You should probably size up shog[1].gif

No but forreals, it looks good as is, but would look equally good sized up, erv's pocket sweaters always look great a bit baggy. But ultimately it comes down to what you feel comfortable in, if you feel fine in it then keep the S, but I'm guessing you don't since you felt the need to ask.

If I can get a pair of A1923 reverse calf back-zips size 43 for $650 in like-new condition (worn 5 times, vibrammed from the start), do you think I'd have any trouble selling them for the same amount if they don't work out?

Just unsure if I'm gonna want to keep em.

if that's the same pair that one guy's been trying to sell for a while definitely you can get your money back. i'd possibly buy it, i just wasn't comfortable doing so with the information i originally got from the seller (regarding fit). price is great.

They're all new and I can get each one for about $210. (I have the hookup on the first two and the third is through a user on here.)

I don't really have a good dress shoe or a proper boot. But I don't necessarily need them either. I guess the Strand would be good for potential job interview here and there, but I don't know if I'd wear it casually that often since it's a balmoral.

The Beckman, I'd probably get nice use of if I ever went to the forest or needed to trudge through snow, or if I wanted to throw on some work style gear.

The Achilles I'd probably wear all the time. I could kind of see it dominating my moderately sized sneaker collection though. It's kind of a luxury item...

Damn tough decision. If only my pockets ran deep. baldy[1].gif

a little late but for your consideration:

wasn't commenting on condition of the boots - just at the oft used phrases like "worn only five times!" "barely worn!" "only worn xx times"...is just funnay because nobody ever seems to wear their boots more than 10 times when they put them up for sale

probably because it's pretty easy to tell before ten wears if you like a pair of shoes or not

denial lasts at least four wears

Yeah, the fit is the thing I'm a bit concerned with at the moment. I wear a 43 in most boots but a 44 in stuff like HMxMMM and chucks.  However, the same pair from another seller is currently at over $1100 on ebay...so I feel like I could become net positive from it, if it doesn't work out.

that ervell sweater definitely doesn't look like ervell
