n (n) x converse One Stars

I've always wanted the chuck taylors, but at this point I think the ship has sailed on finding my size (US8.5/9). I can get the one stars for around $125.

I'm thinking that I would like them a lot more if they had silver grommets/eyelets. Could a cobbler do something like that?

Adding grommets is something you should be able to do yourself pretty easily. http://www.amazon.com/Dritz-574-Eyelet-Plier-Kit/dp/B001CEAMJC/

Thanks guys

I'm going to go ahead and get them. If I decide to add the grommets and it works out I'll make a post in the DIY thread

Simon spurr suit on gilt for $500. Never tried them on but I have a very OTR friendly build. RL black label fits me perfectly if that means anything

I'd pass, everything on gilt is on gilt for a reason, which wouldn't be a big issue but their return policy sucks.

For me: I can't tell if this fits. It's big in the shoulders, but whenever I see mac/trench coats styled, they're on the bigger side.  I know this is a crummy pic, my neighbor came out and started talking to me (lol).  Am I just being dumb because it's an awesome piece?

And yes, sleeves would have to be tailored redx.gif

dunno, you could say the same thing about yoox.

some things just fall through the cracks!

say yes to optimism

the suits on gilt aren't really spurr, they're the diffusion line and are shit.

Optimistic pessimists are the best:
- I really believe in an even less hopeful future
- Totally, I'm convinced it will be much worse in 20 years

See my edit: the big difference is that yoox charges you $6, gilt charges $15 or something and tends to only give their shitty store credit.

Is "simon spurr" the diffusion line? The marketing copy led me to believe it was just SPURR's more "dapper" cousin but was fairly equal in terms of quality. But I'm probably wrong.

Either way, I haven't had success with Gilt in, like, forever. Now that the flash sales have waned in favor of more permanent storefronts, the site has become Yoox's runt little brother. You know, the sort of brother born with the umbilical wrapped around its neck.

KJ it's a bit hard to tell since your hand is up, but the fit seems fine to me, especially paired with sns underneath. it is an awesome piece
