Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 2038

Comments below are probably rendered moot by how ruggedly handsome reedo is but...

ya i just meant that most people will probably not appreciate the aesthetic or at worse react negatively to it. I show my friends some of the awesome pics people post here and they are just like what is this stuff. So if you are just trying to chill out at the bar it might be a little much for the sweatpants shmuck. But idk what portland is like. The bars here are like wannabe jersey shore so if you are any kind of well dressed you look weird. Starched shirts and pants + tan predominates.

@bene: body is a light poplin and too cold for fall but sleeves are too heavy for spring. Have to wear it with a tank, basically.

Skip the Rick, sell the Plohkov, and just buy a baseball jacket reedo. You'll be happier in the end than having another piece you can't work into your wardrobe

@NWI - the sleeves just stack up with a ribbed cuff, not really an issue.  I don't like the collar with the bomber leather sleeves though.

Don't you live in Boston? Bars in Boston aren't like that at all.

i still also think reedo needs to decide where he want his wardrobe to go. like...the fact that he's contemplating between a baseball jacket and a darkshadow jacket is representative of internal strife regarding how he wants to dress. but maybe i'm overthinking it.

is the material terry? i'm sure it's much higher quality but kind of looks like an over designed jcrew sweatshirt.

I hate to say this again, since technically, on its own, in a vacuum, it's such a nice-looking piece, but has anyone ever looked good in a bball -- anyone besides Synthese? The color is always horrible for people's skin tone, then, if you can jump that hurdle, there is still the ocean of sizing: who can forget that image of meis all shrink-wrapped like a sausage, face red and squeezed of breath, eyes jutting out...

Reedo: something else!

Nah, this is pretty on point, hence the reason I'm being so cautious with purchases, just buying tees and socks lately...

Yea, the almost constant sizing mishaps and the fact that only 2-3 users have actually looked great in the jacket make me weary

That's about right, altho fwiw Jcrew's version is post cabourn. That impression, though, is saying to me "You have better ways to spend $300."

But I get what you're saying, it's a very hit or miss jacket and it definitely looks really awful on some people. I think the dark grey version is a lot nicer than the tan.

^ looks best when you size up on it, as in the fit on the first pic.  The problem is that the baseball was a little on the small side, and most people sized it to be slim.  Tan is the best color, imo.

they're just jackets you don't need to narrow your aesthetic direction that much. they're just clothes.
