Awesome, thanks guys.  I was leaning towards the jodhpurs to begin with, will definitely be picking those up.

How'd you size?

I normally wear a 42/US9. I size I ordered was labeled UK 8/US 8.5/EU 42. Condition generously when you first receive them.

If that's the Aloha Rag suit, I wonder about the fabric blend. I'm considering it for a casual suit... I wouldn't consider it appropriate for your one black suit for funerals etc.

Yea, the fabric and way it seems to drape indicates that it's prolly more casual, the color looks a bit washed out though...Fit looks good. Wonder how heavy it is

I've got a pair of Loake chelseas and along with my other Loakes I'd say they were a generous fit compared to most of my other english footwear - maybe 1/2 size larger.

Loake leather ain't bad for the price but you really want to condition heavily for first few months then top up periodically. I've got Loakes I've had for 4+yrs that still look good after heavy wear.

I'm close to thinking of keeping both now though.....Also the colors are pretty off, the whitebalance on my camera is horrible and using flash does not help. Refer to last picture for actual color OR "Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned" thread for correct colors (http://www.styleforum.net/t/71625/leather-jackets-post-pictures-of-the-best-youve-seen-owned/7215#post_6070268).

 

EDIT: This is horrible I should of just posted 5 zip here, and rick in SZ, I'm all over the place. baldy[1].gif

 

To describe the 5zip color for those who maybe interested, under direct sunlight its purple red, but under shade/night time its like oxidized blood, it's a weird one that's for sure.

can you unzip the cuffs on the 5zip? looks weird tapered so much. i have the same RO, leather has some really nice character after being beat up a bit.
