About a year ago, I purchased a pair of Varvatos Converse. They're pretty much just converse, but leather and with the Varvatos treatment. They never fit quite right though because I bought them in my regular Converse size rather than sizing up a half to account for the really thick insole. (I'm considering putting in a thinner one, but I digress...sort of.)

I'm thinking of getting these:

You design them on the Converse site, and I can make a pair that looks almost identical to the red ones I have. What I'm unsure of are the insoles. Anyone know if they're Varvatos style, or are they the typical Converse ones?

Good idea for $100?

Grundhal is a pretty cool Danish designer and has some great knits. For $100 definitely a buy.

They're all pretty awful.

I would maybe steer clear of patterns - they can be ok, but all the ones you just posted are really ugly, so if you can't tell go with a solid?

I can't link them because the site is stupidly designed, but RRL has a lot of REALLY nice knits in a similar style - but not ugly.

Thanks guys. I won't be getting any of them. I already have some solid colored ones from Vince and Uniqlo +J so I was looking for a patterned one. I really like the RRL ones but don't want to spend that much since it doesn't get that cold most of the year where I live.

Patterns with more muted colours can look very good, but bright reds etc generally don't end up faring too well. Of some can look good in it, but it's difficult.

love patterns, not those patterns

Yea I think I saw a couple red RRL ones that looked great. I never realized it was so hard to find nice looking patterned chunky cardigans for under $250. Any recs?

Promise this is the last one, is this one any better? Thanks.

I think if you're looking for something very slim-fit / sized precisely it's probably not the sweatshirt for you.

I don't think he's looking for very slim fit, he just doesn't want to be drowning in it... and it fits a bit slouchy, not huge like the sweatshirt from this spring/summer
