Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 1896

I really doubt sf/sufu/sz represent a large enough share of ro customers to predict the downfall of the brand
post #28427 of 39282
Actually, according to most, RO already fell.

It honestly isn't even as sought out or discussed as it was a year or two ago.

Rick's menswear business could completely cease to sell and he wouldn't be significantly worse off. + what NaTionS said

vintage m65.

pros: looks cool, quality from close ups looks good, oversized so i could wear over blazers/denim jackets/knits, water resistant
cons: too oversized? basically...yeah thats it.

just trying to find a cool m65

model is 5'10"

also, most of what you're seeing is from previous seasons going as far back as 08/09..

people do eventually like to move on

So, someone bought the green givenchy trousers I wanted, but found this pair at a pretty decent price. I basically want/need to upgrade my bottoms (setting myself up for a joke, I know) and casual/tailored trousers is what I´m trying to go for to steer off the jeans route.

People's taste changes as the years go by, sometimes forums can influence this, but I was doing Acne, APC and BoO three years ago now im liking the Jap brands like viridi Anne, Devoa etc though the majority of my wardobe would be Geller, Schneider and Margiela.
I always wanted to own a cool, quality leather jacket so I grabbed the Rick Mollino - it definately wont flow on to more Rick.

exactly, someone just getting into rick can do so inexpensively by acquiring one of the older items. good thing about a lot of these brands is that a large part of their products and designs don't change much as the seasons go by so nothing really ever feels dated.

if you're transitioning from jeans into trousers i would suggest starting with a pair of black or grey before you jump into green and white.

or hold out for a pair of the original style MMM lows?

Are those cream or white?  If cream, pass - weren't nice at all in person.

They are the cream version, would prefer the white, so will probably hold off and wait for the ones I actually want
post #28438 of 39282
I actually like the creme version (I have the model with the off-white sole), but if you'd rather have the white you should definitely wait for them. Buying something that's almost what you want might keep you from buying the version you actually want when you finally get the chance to pick them up.

Yea never a good policy, always leaves you slightly diappointed

anyone have experience with alpha industries? they have a cheap m65 that looks to be good quality (they use to make them for the military i guess?) and i found one in an xs which wouldn't be too oversized on me.
