Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 1890

i dont mind the arena lows with the ankle curve, but i cant stand the high/mids.. they're like bricks on your feet and yes they run massive. im a 44 in most shoes and while balenciaga resilles are big (im a 42 in those) I've never been able to size down enough on the arenas. on top of that the chains are just too delicate so you have no choice but to wear them loose.

also, regarding kanyes pants, are those En Noir?

Balmain?

I've been looking for so long for them. I had a chance to get them from Ssense last year but for some stupid reason I passed.

They're up on ebay. Pre-owned but both pictures and description indicate quite good condition (10-12 wears). Problem is they're $350 starting bid ($425 BIN) which seems kind of high for used sneakers. If they were new I would have bought them. I prefer this model to this seasons dip-dye ones, though. I could ask the seller if he would do a transaction outside of ebay for less, but still seems like it would be high. Compared to other pairs on ebay they're not a bad price, but that's not saying much when considering what people think they can get away with charging on ebay.

Arena mids/hi's remind me of Lego people's feet.

The "Be for Milano" one is my favorite, though I know nothing about the brand. Second place would be the three-button Grifoni one-- I seem to remember folks saying good things about Grifoni before.

Skip Scotch and Soda. The PS by Paul Smith stuff I've handled is aiiight but feels every bit like a diffusion line. Pretty good but not that exciting, nameen?

PS by Paul Smith blazer wise feels pretty shitty imo, it's at Barneys and other department stores if you want to check it out. Mauro Grifoni has a lot of nice looking pieces, been debating a few as nobody seems to have any experience. I'd also base a bit on the material content, lots of blends in the ones you linked

yeah true,
i was leaning towards the PS one as its 100% wool but now not as much as both of you mention it feels a bit ok

I'm generally pro-yoox but most of what's on there is crap.

And the initial prices on a lot of yoox's stock are high. Especially the better stuff. Don't expect a $100 piece from an unknown brand on yoox to be better in any way than H+M / Zara.

Not all the time. Often there's good stuff that sort of slips into the cracks until a lucky buyer stumbles across it halfway into sales season (Like most of the Nicolo Ceschi Berrini stuff while Yoox still carried bundles of it)

And while Yoox's claim that its prices start at "half the retail value" are usually accurate, there are times when the price will start weirdly low (These Mr. Hares are selling for almost $900 cheaper than what Mr. Porter sold them for, and they haven't even been marked down yet)

Paolo Pecora and Patrizia pepe are two brands that make really good quality stuff that makes it to deep discounts. I have a few sweaters from both and they have held up really nicely with regular wear. smile.gif

I prefer the MMM in this case, ~$900 or so

I actually am considering those MMM but I have black boots to hold me down.
