Really? Out of the ones I have now or have had in the past the cotton ones actually feel more fragile. Also, while I didn't handle last winters pocket sweater the alpaca Norwegian sweater from that season was definitely more hearty/durable than the fair isle from F/W '10 (though maybe a hair less soft). The cotton is underrated though, and makes it to sales much more often than the alpaca stuff.
Edit- I think the pocket sweaters are just more fragile than the rest b/c of the seed stitch constructionEdited by Meis - 10/9/12 at 8:23am
