They´re so bad I´m phisically ill just by looking at them.

Swap out the icky laces and it would look good with a wanky #menswear ensemble. Probably not well-suited to erryday wear though

Idk man the brick sole + olive is pretty fucking gross too.

Yeah, I'd have to agree

It's weird. When I look at those shoes, I don't feel any strong reaction, or any reaction at all. I just feel numb. Like the same feeling I get when I scroll through Reddit's gore section. There's just too much ugly shit on the internet for any one piece to provoke me.

(well, unless it's fantastically ugly, like these)

What do you think about the way these double monk straps are being worn - pretty casually with jeans?  I'm trying to throw a little more formal into my casual wardrobe, but worried I might end up with an elf-ish effect going on.

Thanks for all your input...this is why I posted in here.  I guess I should rethink them a bit.

Truth be told, I'm surprised by their poor reception.  The Neumoks are one of AEs biggest selling shoes right now, and I like how they add a bit of punch (via color) to an outfit.  I don't expect them to be my daily wearer (my walnut stands fill that role) but I figured they'd look good with jeans when I'm not wearing boots.  I'm a photographer, so I don't need to fit in with the rest of an office environment...so I thought these'd be fun.

Florsheim by Duckie Brown has some brogues/derbies that use color in more subdued ways. So you get your colors without the risk of prompting vomiting spells.

A quick google search found these:

I was also going to suggest Mark McNairy, but from his website, it looks like he's become (or always was?) as anti restraint as those AEs you posted.

McNairy's shoes are made by Sanders. A lot of the more subdued McNairy models could always be found for less under the Sanders label. That entire row of shoes you just posted above all look quite nice for what they are.

Oh, here's one that's more up OP's ally. It's also Florsheim by DB

I have some greens, crocketts and corthay but would like to try some less sleek shoes in cordovan. (Will take some getting used to.)
What about these ravellos on the modified last?
