Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 1851

Yes. Their "real leather" is pretty crappy. I bought a pair of shoes once and the "leather" started flaking after 2 or 3 wears.

Being serious. I just want a goddamn leather rider jacket but everything ostensibly worth purchasing is ~$500 or more.

What happens to bad leather. Seriously. I've never had a leather jacket before.

Granted, after looking at more pics I'm not really sure I'd want that jacket and certainly not for $2k.. I'm just saying that a toj isn't a good substitute.

seriously. every post by uncontrol concerning leather outerwear will have "TOJ" in there atleast 3 times

Who, there's so many nice cotton/wool coats in that price range that you could get

because it's the one i have experience with? because it's the one that most members here would have physical experience with? because it's very present on this forum?

this backlash to toj hype is ridiculous. it's hyped because it's a fucking great product at a great price and the owner of the brand has a personal connection to this community. get over it already.

That's another reason why blazers/wool jackets are awesome. It's so easy to find nice ones discounted to around $400 or under.

Halp guys. I need a fall jacket and I don't know what to do.

KJ, guide me along this cotton/wool path to autumnal warmth and (figurative) coolness.

Put this on your ipod and go for a walk and the swag will find you - http://rcrdlbl.com/artists/B-Bravo--Teeko/track/More-Than-Just-A-Dream/download/

Seriously though, if on a budget you basically just have to stalk B&S, yoox, sales, and ebay, and not keep anything that's "just ok."  It's a bit of a time investment.

Yoox has lots of good fall jackets, all between $350 - $650.

Not really. Not at all.

The calf looks kinda biker-y, but the lamb is drapey. Looks much more like a fashion jacket.

That Philip Lim jacket looks shit IMO. Aside from the leather, the cut just looks weird with those narrow shoulders.

Just got an e-mail that Phillip Lim is beta testing version 3.5

So excited. Been waiting so long for this.
