Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 1828

I've tried a lot of barbours, I think its unsafe to veer away from the mainstays; bedale, international, and the one I own the cowen commando.

That's not the issue, this jacket is great. It just doesn't fit me right and I wanted to get affirmation of that. Here's the exact same jacket worn correctly by someone a bit shorter

Looks like there's too much going on, don't do it.

Haha, thanks guys. I'm also wary of raw denim shirts...imagining massive bright pit stains.

i liked the feel of these shirts, they had a soft hand when worn

made in toronto, canada. cool little store and the owner is a smart guy. really into his workwear/heritage stuff.

Not a fan of shirts with two fronts pockets though and it seems like all their shirts have them.

But that's just me. If you like them go for it.

he was probably talking to okazaki, not about himself

I need a fall jacket.

Number (N)ine jacket. The seller's photos don't really display the coat too well, and the runway photos that accompany it aren't much of a help either; however, it seems like a heavy-nuff jacket in which I could do some serious brooding, cigarette-smoking, and other scurrilous things. It also has what looks like a big collar that, if it's stiff enough (ha—no), I could pop up and look really sleazy.

Wings + Horns flight jacket. The length is the same as the N(N) jacket above, and it also has some really interesting details—the shearling collar, leather elbow patches, slit pockets, quilt-lined interior (or whatever it is that makes it look so warm and cozy)... I don't really know what else to say about it, it's just really handsome and, with some black jeans + combat boots, this could also look way sleazier than its W + H pedigree traditionally dictates. Also: Flight jacket = Porco. Rosso. Steez.

prefer the W+H one, though if you're looking for a flight jacket I think there are far better options, like for example the APC x Carhartt one inlove.gif

that one's from last year though so may be a bit hard to find

It's a tough choice really. On the one hand, I could do something à la sewer-scurrying Neapolitan revolutionary, or I could opt for Miyazaki's anthropomorphic pilot shit.
that apc one is not far better...

never seen that w+h - is it like way old? or just new new?

I think the apc jacket is an overpriced construction workers jacket, kind of young probably doesn't know that carhartt is mainly worn by farmers and construction workers in the us, but that def not a flight jacket.  That W+H looks like its past its prime.  n(n) jacket is the way to go out of those three.

ribbed cuffs kill the n(n) jacket for me but it's not exactly a great picture so it's hard to tell

who, hit up that consignment shop on newbury a few times, they always have a few mmm/dior/cdg etc pieces at solid prices
