RFX: 5 is a 40, 4 is a 38, 3 is a 36 I'm pretty sure.  The sizing varies a lot sometimes, though, so you may want to call.

hope you got a 5 and not 6 in your sweater KJ! fits oversized

Anybody else have an opinion on this? Any alternative if you don't like it?

was there the past 4 nights and aside from being 7 PM and onward, it is pretty damn humid in LA and depending on what you were doing earlier in the day, the last thing you want is slipping into a knit piece.
seriously?

yo, there's this amazing thing called seasons. in case you aren't aware, right now it is summer, meaning it is HOTASFUCKINGBALLS. in a few months it will be fall, meaning it will be THEMOSTAMAZINGTEMPERATUREANDSEASONEVERWHEREYOUCANWEARALLYOURFAVORITEJAWNZ, then it will be winter, meaning it will be COLDASBALLS. if you need more help with this concept, pm me.

I need new glasses and was looking at either the Barton Perreira Gilbert or the Barton Perreira James. Both very similar frames.

I have a smaller face, so I was thinking the James might be better, but can't pull the trigger. Anyone here actually seen these two frames or own either? Suggestions?

EDIT: Both would be in chesnut.

Seriously call. Unless you plan on calling la garconne in which case don't bother, they don't have access to the merchandise (warehouse or something) , decent returns though.  Think Gravity pope has that cardigan too. I called South Willard for the IjevanI was going to order a 6 and it was 23.5" across the chest even though 6 supposedly equates to 42.  So I got a 5 which was 22.5 across after all its supposed to be loose but not like a hopsack.

They're pretty much the same jacket, only one has a hood and is a bit more expensive. Which would you recommend (I wear beanies so not sure if the hood would be useful much, but I still like the design).

Do you think these are good choices, or do they seem too lightweight for fall/ winter? As an alternative, do you have any suggestions for jackets of this style (minimal, bomber/blouson type)?

I've tried the Gilbert on. It's actually a narrower frame than you might think, and the lens width was actually too narrow on my face. I prefer the way the keyhole bridge works for me, so I'd choose the Gilbert over the James.

FWIW, I ended up going with the Thompson.
