WINGS + HORNS – 5 POCKET LIGHT GERMAN CORDUROY PANT BLACK

It's heavily discounted

Search through the 2012 W+H thread and after you wash them you can end up with unsightly lines all over the pants...

I haven't been on here for a while so I'm sure this has come up - but I washed these on delicate with Woolite dark, and then did a delicate tumble, and they have these white lines running around them now - almost like wrinkled fades. I thought it was residue at first but I washed them twice more and the problem persists. Almost seems like salt or soap residue, which is normal on dark pants, but I think they actually were affected by the wash/dry cycle. The care tag says that it is cool to do this, and though I normally don't dry my nicer clothes I was trying to shrink them ever so slightly. Shouldn't happen.
Anyway, I actually love these pants and want to get the other color ways but I'm worried they can't even stand up to a delicate hand wash cycle with nice cleaning products.

As the picture shows, there are large sections of the pants that are now covered with little horizontal light colored lines that actually look like small rips where the fabric is coming apart. Maybe I'm just being paranoid though. It may be difficult to see in the uploaded picture but hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

It appears to happen because of stretching - you may be able to work the threads back into place - that's what I did.

..But talk to RG and W+H first...they cooperated when I've had defective goods...

that being said, if it's what you want then go for it, it's a nice piece. to be honest though, if you can hold out i'd just wait for ToJ (tentative) revival and buy an MA-1 from drew.

Eh, that might be the case, but I dunno—I think I have some things I could wear with it: a pair of 3sixteens, some random French brand's black waxed denim, (newly acquired) CPs, Momas... Is there some particular thing that I need to have in order to wear that jacket? In any case, it's not like my whole wardrobe is visible on SF. I think a jacket like that would match fairly well what I already have. Besides, how do you start to build a wardrobe if you're always worried that something won't fit with the (presumably not-so-good) clothes that you already own? And, as much as I'd like a TOJ, there's no way I could afford one retail right now. Been lurking on B&S for a while, but nothing has struck my eye. confused.gif

Should I buy balmain lion print tee on LVR? I have store credit from a purchase I had to return and want a loose tee, and that one looks cool, and I would get it at 50% off because of said credit. Don´t know how to save pics from luisa :/

(But, the inseam is 38", which usually doesn't happen with non-STF jeans)
Or, I could just wear them a bit big for a change and do crazy shit like tuck sweaters into 'em.
Opinions?

good tailor can just take int he waist...along with the bum and crotch to make it fit. but i vaguely recall you saying there's no good tailors near to you...

Nah, pass on that. Get a 2 or 3 button coat without a hoodie

On the other hand, it looks like half an octopus.

You never know when you might find the other half!

I know but I can't get over the ribbed cuffs redface.gif
You're looking for someone tailored to wear with derbies, correct?

Not necessarily. Yea, the ribbed cuffs are the only "meh" part of the jacket for me. I'd prolly wear this jacket with the boots i have or derbies.
