I'll probably return them though, seem to be 1/2-1 size too big.
Also quality isn't what I expected. The leather doesn't seem that nice, there are hairs left on the side of the sole (probably from the brush that was used to paint them) and I think I can see some glue residue...

Don't get how those Lobbs could possibly be "ugly"--overpriced, yes. Not the best possible iteration that Lobb puts out? Probably. But they're really not ugly...

yeah i bought a few things at retail this season but i don't wear these stuff that much.

Could you explain whats wrong with this? To my untrained eye they seem pretty good -- is it because captoes make the monks slightly too busy? And what would be a good application of museum calf?

Also side question - how much can a pair of leather shoes stretch? I just bought a pair of Farragamos shoes ( pretty bad construction - but really nice leather imo - for 175) that are slightly too tight. Wondering if that is a reasonable price for it.
