Filson 257? It's not really a "need" per se...

I like the 256 but it is quite uncomfortable when loaded. Also, the zipper teeth will destroy things.

it can hold more than you can carry. well i can carry a lot , II do, after all, drink 2% milk for a reason.
but what's this about the rabid zippers? you shouldn't try to force things closed when objects aren't properly inserted inside.

Never had trouble with the zipper on my 256 (I don't zip up the main compartment tho, just button it and it works fine). The 256 is pretty damn big/heavy as it is, the 257 would be massive

I find that sort of white streakiness in black denim sort of cheap looking. I really prefer solid, jet black that doesn't fade into a white weave.

As a true 32, will I be able to wear a size 90 belt on any of the holes?  I don't really mind having it on the last one but I'm gonna pass if I'd have to drill one.

I love my 257--I can fit a computer, lunch, and gym clothes in there, among other things--but damn are Filson bags heavy. It's not bad to commute with, but dragging it around all day, even lightly packed, can be a pain.

It's not streaky at all irl. I think the brightness has just been turned up.

thats dope, i really like svensson's stuff. did you get it from a stateside retailer?

haven't kopped, wondering other people's opinion of fit/quality of Svensson. Pieces are hard to track down, love the pattern and I think the color would be pretty workable

With respect to Filson, I got the Sportsman today, it's the 266 I think, to use as an overnight/weekend/carryon bag, and what previous posters said about it being heavy is true. It's a very very rugged bag, but if are looking for something you have to lug around all day, or are a weakling (like I was), you might want to look elsewhere.
