in the mud? no. since when does carpet, cement, or any surface except wet grass stain? I'm more likely to spill coffee/alcohol on a sweater, not my backpack.

Fair enough. laugh.gif

Although I'm giving myself a free pass on ToJ denim when it comes out. devil.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
And I'm probably picking up a pair of the Uniqlos at some point anyway. peepwall[1].gif

1. Putting in down on the ground
2. Rain
3. Dirty hands (eating a burger, need to pull something out)
4. Scuffs when brushed up against something in crowded areas
5. Denim stains

It's pretty damn easy to stain a backpack I don't really know how you are using them.

And in terms of build quality, Makr seems as bit nicer (only seen the duffle) compared to the Nanamica one

This. I've had dark brown bags that have gotten filthy, and it's not like I lead a particularly rugged lifestyle

Hmm. Last few backpacks I've used have been black, so I guess I wouldn't know

Pretty much the same, its just heavier and warmer than my other pieces, as well as waterproof. The more I look at it though the less I am interested haha
