Not a bad ordering. I own at least two pairs from each of those makers. Personally I think C&J are slightly over-rated and would stick them below Trickers, and AS above Cheaney for some of their lines, but as you said in your post it's really a question of lines with many of the shoemakers. Barker's country shoes are much better than most of their city shoes (although the Anniversary line is nice). Sanders are highly variable and it's tricky to work out what's decent and what isn't, at least with Loake you know the 1880 line is going to be reasonable.

I'd definitely look at Shoreman's suggestion of retrickers if they deduct VAT, but if they don't these are very good for the price:

I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend Barker's dress shoes below the Anniversary line, but their Country range uses much thicker (and IMO) better leather.

I defer to ManofKent on all things British shoes. He can prob actually find Northampton on a map. Yeah, C+J (and Alden, for the poster who asked) are probably overrated and their prices seem to have risen disproportionately over the last 5 years or so.

And I'm sure Hendrix is right about Alfred Sargent--the new ranges look very, very nice. Most of the Sargent stuff I've handled is from other labels. In fact I think the BB shoes I"m wearing today are Sargent, and they're great, but no Edward Green.

I can't find the jacket I posted on any other site (besides two jupiters, which seems to be where they're getting the merch) and I"d like a better description of it before I buy. The parka is more interesting and more hardcore, but out of my price range. This would essentially be a ski jacket for me, and I ski like twice a year

Thanks guys. The chest pockets are what worry me (my girlfriend hates them too haha) but I think it's sick otherwise. Here's a fit pic of the tweed version:

it would be totally forgettable if it didn't have the chest pockets. Not going to say I am in love with them but the design is throwaway without them there.

Pockets look even worse on the fit pic. It is a shame, would be really nice without them.

I don't really think so. The short zipper, belt, triangle sleeves and the silhouette in general all make it pretty nice IMO.

Looking to buy a patterned scarf. Preferably some fair-isle in red-brown-earth tones. I mostly wear shades of blue, brown and grey, so I think a scarf in those tones would complement the rest of my outfit.

It's come down to these three, but feel free to add another option. Must be below 80 Euro, 110 USD.

Yeah, I really don't like the chest pockets. I've never liked passants either, so basically I don't like any of the details. It's a shame because this would still have a great silhouette without them.

I like #3 the most.
