Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 1301

I'm looking for a Fall/Winter jacket and I'm digging some Barbour jackets. Do you think this Barbour Microfibre Polarquilt will look good with an OCBD, jeans and Palladiums or Red Wings? I'm also torn between olive and navy.

IDH: Paul Smith Corso would be my suggestion. They can be found used for reasonable prices.

I've heard bad things about H by Hudson quality. KG's, I have no idea tbh.

These KG's looks fine too and are just £85.00. http://www.kurtgeiger.com/men/shoes/boots/tower-12.html

I can say from experience that Christ Wedge soles are not great for winter wear (very slippery on ice). For winter you want a lug sole imo. Here's a couple decent looking pairs under $200.

any other recs?

@george:

this sole is killing it for me. way to heavy. i would like to have something that is nice quality but not obviously a working mens boot ( or at lease sort of special like the thorogood).

What do y'all think of these? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

They look great to me, but I also have a thing for western boots. I'm pretty sure you'd have to have a wider hem (> 8") to fit your jeans over those.

About this hem thing, in my very limited experience with those MMMs I've never found it to be a problem, the shaft is very soft and slouchy (it doesn't stand straight on its own as the stock pics would lead you to believe). If you look at the MMM shows from 08 or 09, I'm not sure which one, the hems are not particularily wide and the jeans are mostly worn over the boots. .

Rad. Well, if there's a sudden abundance of size 45s (assuming they're TTS), I'll certainly line up for a pair.
post #19512 of 37262
I may have to fight you for those.

You wouldn't tuck over those margielas.
