Oh dear god no on the white patent. Navy patent on Yoox was kinda cool but it wasn't really navy, more blue. Agree with AR that white is good, though black is cool too

Was talking about getting brown patent. Wouldn't consider white. Agreed that the blue patent was nice.

A firm "no" on that brown patent. They look like a glazed turd. I have those in black patent and white no patent, which are great. I agree that the blue patent on Yoox looked good. But avoid the brown patent.

Trying to decide a) whether brown patent will be difficult to pull off and b) whether putting them on and taking them off will be obnoxious without zippers.

edit: Also, for real, what's up with the general dislike of brown sneakers?

never owned a pair but i dont imagine they should be hard putting on and taking off.
i have a few hi tops without zips and they go on/come off fine.
also have some boots with a side zip-never use it, just a loosen lace concept
