Yeah for sure. I'm a 21 year old college kid paying my own way through. Dropping $250 on a piece of clothing is hard enough, but I figure it should last awhile.

agreed 100%. the mainline stuff is far from crap. i stay away from the converse jv stuff because the quality sucks. that being said and since you are on a budget $245 bucks isnt bad for a leather jacket and it looks pretty good... you could do a lot worse plus you get a $25 account credit if you cop today. it's def not worth the retail of $700.

Quality may be semi decent on higher end stuff but designs are crap for the most part.

Shore do you really want shoes that resemble anteaters on your feet?

75% of mainline is crap. 98% of everything else is unmentionably boring/overpriced

I was speaking in terms of quality not design. I have a few mainline pieces and 3 or 4 pairs of shoes and boots and I have been more than happy w/ the quality compared to other designers at the same price point. I think the designs are getting worse with each collection but I always like JV boots.

Ya it is. Not sure if I could pull it off because of the shawl collar.

Need help deciding whether to keep or return this lanvin blazer. Sorry for the horrible photos, they were too dark so I had to tweak them a lot to make the jacket visible. Just looking for advice on the fit. I think I can do better, and am leaning towards returning it right now, but hoping for your thoughts..

I think the fit is really good for something off the rack. If you got a good deal on it then I would keep it. It's a versatile and classic looking piece.

Keep it, shoulder fit looks fine. Any alterations you may want, like maybe slim down the torso, can be easily fixed by the tailor.
