If they don't fit you're gonna get brutal heelslip and they just won't be comfy.

This is part of the reason I go bespoke - especially with sidezips where the fit has to be perfect because you can't tighten with laces/buckles.

Alternatively, paul smith zip boots often have an elastic area around the shaft, meaning you can get a real tight fit without having to compromise the flex of the ankle.

Those aren't the same shape mmm side zips that are released every year, those have a larger shaft than the classic ones

with that being said, I like them and think you should just add an insole

Just walking around the office, at least, I don't seem to be getting any heelslip. They're just slightly loose but my heel is staying in place. The toe-box feels tight, too, so I'm not sure sizing down would be the right thing to do since then the toebox might be too cramped. I guess I am going to run past my cobbler after work and see what he thinks.

I didn't know slimming down the ankle was maybe an option, but that sounds pretty involved if so...

Yeah, they have a narrower toebox too, which is better for me aesthetically, which is in part why I really want these to work. It's also why the seller figured this size would work for me (not that it was his responsibility to figure out my sizing).
