Wings & horns has very nice quality outerwear, I say go for it if your into the military-esque look. By the way, I dunno where you are looking for it, but I pulled that off of gravitypope, and they have them marked down to like $380 canadian which ends up being around $330 with shipping, you gotta email them for real time stock though. Either way that is a very solid jacket for the $300-$400 price range, they are on sale at a lot of places.

Yeah, thats the one. I really, really like it. I love canvas as a material, as it ages fantastically. Old canvas m65 look awesome, with patches on the inside for repairs and that worn in, washed look. I got the MK2 Jacket in black, that should be here sometime next week, but gravitypope was out of the black type 3 in my size. People on the forum have the green type 3 in my size, but I'm not sure if I'd wear it enough, considering I wear mostly grey, charcoal, black, navy and blue. I think I'm going to have to buy it. This and the NdG knits that I have my eye on will be it for some time, methinks. Does anyone know if the battleship sweater is a cotton knit or a wool knit? Cotton knits suck.

I'd give up boobs before wearing washed red. Worst color ever. Hyrcollective = americana GQ Thanks for your advice dudes!

The battleship sweaters from NdG's S/S are cotton.

I remember reading that from somewhere.

^ Lame. Cotton just bags out so easily. I really liked the look of those sweaters too. I asked Brigade shop if they could get the NdG Field Scarf in black mesh in, so I might get the sweater anyway if they manage to get that scarf in. I'll be grabbin me some W+H Type 3 then, methinks.

I concur - I might get a black one. I have read that build quality can be off. It's a 'rugged' product. Suits me. I wonder if they could do special leather. I'd love a matte black or charcoal rather then mega shiny.

?

i was leaning towards navy, but i think natural works better with everything but khaki colored chinos (which is what i mostly wear right now!). i'm not sure if navy would go with jeans.

I'm not seeing the difference between jean shorts that are finished and jeans that are cut into shorts. Unless of course, you were talking about shorts not made of denim.

Yeah I was talking about jeans that are cut into shorts and aren't finished/are left with a "ripstop" at the point of cutoff/leg opening what have you. Those tend not to look so nice. Jeans that are cut into shorts and finished or given a nice hem or cuff are just about the same as finished shorts; they're generally less formal because they're denim and have the slubby and rough texture of jeans but they certainly look nicer than the ripstop look.

Ah, okay that clears it up. I intend on cuffing them for the slight contrast anyway.
