J.Crew cargo pants

Thread Starter
(I e-mailed J.Crew about this, but no response as of yet...) I received a pair of J.Crew cargo pants recently, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality, considering the price. Figured I'd get another pair, but... If anyone is passing a J.Crew and can answer definitively, regarding their cargo pants: Are the shorter inseam models - for example, '28 30' rather than '28 32' - exactly the same as the longer inseam model, but with a shorter leg? That is, are the cargo pockets placed X inches down the leg in both models? Or do the longer inseam models have the cargo pocket placed a couple of inches further down the leg? It's a picky question, I know, but the size I want  - with a 30 inseam - is out, and I'm wondering if I can get the same size with a longer inseam, and just have them shortened, or if this will result in cargo pockets on my knees. Thanks, fellas.

My guess is that it is positioned in the same place. It would be extremely expensive to place it in different places for different inseams, probably prohibitively so.
