Sick times Sam - and that's a crazy amount of mileage for the year.

Got in 9.7 miles in CP this morning in 1:14:11 - it was brisk out there.

This afternoon, in a light snow flurry, 4 miles.

6.1 miles today for me.

Looks like a great past year guys. Fueco with the Ultra completion, Myles with the buckle, and Sam w/ 3K miles and crazy fast times. Congrats to all 3 of you. Awesome stuff.

Tonight - the only workout for my half marathon a week from Saturday.
1 mile easy 1 mile hard 1 minute easy 1 mile hard 1 minute easy
Then some hard surges with recovery at 6 min pace.
The miles were 522 534. I was helping a friend prep for a sub 17 5k and figured two race pace or faster miles would be a good confidence builder. He will probably do it or at least be very close

Tried to get back into it today to see how my knee felt, it had been a couple weeks before I tried doing a real run....did 4 fast (for me) miles at a 8:45 pace, and it felt surprisingly great - no knee pain whatsoever. I'm very pleased with that, so I'll take another few days off and see if I still have no pain after a run.

6 miles this morning. Need some more tomorrow to hit my admittedly small mileage goal for the week (30).

Did a 5.25 trail run in the hills today for my first proper training run of 2013.

Fun! My legs were still a bit stiff from Tuesday's half marathon, but it was nice to get out there!

It will be my first time for both, so I'm just shooting for sub 60 minutes in the 10K and sub 2:15 in the Half. If I can run both of these with no injuries, I'll shoot for a full marathon later in the year, maybe towards the end of 2013.

Based on the times you're clocking in the thread, I'd say you can aim for sub-2 for the half. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm setting my goals slightly lower for the races because I've never run a competitive 10K or half, and my I'm just getting over an injury. I wish I had more time to train for both races. But, I ran another 4 miles today at just around a 9 minute pace, with no knee pain, so I'm feeling hopeful that it won't start hurting again.

4 miles this afternoon followed by a workout. Practiced yoga this morning - a bit too early for a Sunday morning.
