its typically due to the engagement of the core body muscles that we use when we run.
A little cross training goes along way.
It will go away fast.

4.53 miles in 38:59 (avg. 8:36 min/mi) Today's shuffle playlist: Aerosmith - "Draw the Line" The Beatles - "Got to Get You Into My Life" Aerosmith - "Round and Round" Jethro Tull - "My God" Peter Green - "The Green Manalishi [Live]" The Beatles - "I Am the Walrus" Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Warped" The Police - "Too Much Information" Soundgarden - "Superunknown" No pics of town/snow, but I ran across (and stopped for a closer look at) a very cool car and had fun playing around with some of the settings on the iPhone Camera+ app.

NYRR has been a gaffe-machine lately. 1 in 10 locals got into the NYC marathon through lottery in March. Mary Wittenberg scares me, she wants to turn NYRR into a global organization, and I feel like the people who are keeping their lights on, running the smaller races every week in central park, are casualties. Also, is it too much to ask that they have a race somewhere other than Central Park occasionally? I'm tired of racing that loop.

Anyway, got my Brooklyn Half entry earlier this week. There's a slim slim chance that I might miss it, so if one of you guys can promise me that you will finish and not end up in a medical tent, I may let you have the bib.

anyways, 5 miles for me today. I've also decided NYC is done with snow for the winter.

after a few awful days of stomach flu/food poisoning, I finally pulled it together for 8 miles in 1:00:42. The last two loops were slower than the first four, but I didn't walk so that's a big plus.

Next race: seriously considering the Angie's half crazy on March 27.

^^ man, that's pretty quick to come back to running - at least for me.

today: 5.3 miles in 39:16. Even splits per loop, excepting one where I waited for this truck to back out of his driveway (took 15 seconds). The last loop took more work than the rest but at least I responded.

^^^ how do you like those Hyperspeeds?
has anyone taken a look at the new mizuno ronins and mushas? They look pretty awesome, especially the Mushas.
I think that I def got out a bit prematurely last night, I think I will be running every other day at most for the rest of this week.
