Excellent stuff! Always satisfying to hit new distance records

Thanks! I felt great after the run and still feel pretty good the next day. The only part that hurts is the blisters on my toes...

3.4 miles fast after a 3-day break. It was needed badly and felt great. Wish I had had time for more but had to rush off to yoga, which was great tonight, btw.

Another rest day for me.

Halves: 1:29:37 first, 1:29:38 2nd. Feeling pretty fucking pleased with myself.
Wow. Great overall pace and split strategy. Congrats on breaking 3 hours and the finish placement. That's pretty cool in top 10.

Nice job BG. Sounds like the endurance building is going well.

Alright, I'll bite, what's a muscle up? I don't do pull-ups, so I have no idea what they are.

I've only had blisters when I ran in sweat socks or tried a size larger shoe. I've also heard of trail runners getting them from wet shoes and socks crossing creeks. If you are getting them regularly, I'd get some different running socks, like Injinji toe socks, or check the size/widths of your shoes.
Others on here may have different experiences or ideas.

Yeah I saw those toe socks at a running store, definitely going to pick some of those up. The blisters on my toes were from 2 of my toes rubbing together during the run, so those socks that keep my toes separated should help tremendously.

thanks sam, yes it's a well, it's a 26 minute PR nod[1].gif

...and only my second and third 1/2s ever under 1:30...

I thought about my virtual crew in here during the race.

Hi All,

I daily ran 8 miles and I have been running daily since last 2 years. I have started with 2 miles and gradually increase my distance to reach 8 miles a day. Regular running helps me in maintaining my body weight healthy and keeps me active. Running makes my heart and lungs strong and promotes muscular development. Running reduce the risk of depression, anxiety and cardiovascular disease.

I had no idea that was called a "muscle up". There is an older guy at my gym who regularly does multiple sets of about 10 of those each morning I am there. I always thought he was just showing off with some exercise he had just made up.

Nice work on the muscle-ups. They are pretty damn difficult. I use gymnastics rings - I assume you are using a pull-up bar?
