7 fairly easy. Most sore I've been in my entire life during the run.

Yasso 800's:
15-30 minute warm-up
You then run your marathon time for 800m (1/2 mile if no track) and then recovery run for same amount.
Ex. If you run a 3:30 marathon, you would run 800m in 3:30 (7:00 pace = 3:30 x 2) with a 3:30 recovery jog. 3:00 marathon would be 6 min pace for 800 with 3 min recovery.
Do that for 10 rep's.
15-30 cool down run.

It's a pretty good workout. Quite a few articles on the web about it. I think it was named after Bart Yasso that started them.

13km for me today. Tried to alternate between sprinting and very slow passages (interval). Feels good, but Im pretty exhausted right now.

A 3-mile per-workout run. Hadn't run in several days - felt great. The 2-hour workout felt even better.

Jay, you must be cutting up nicely man...really hitting the streets and the gym...I've done that all summer and feel great, will try to keep the two a days going at least once or twice a week now that I'm back on my feet 5 days a week.

Yeah, been getting lots of compliments lately. Didn't realize that the difference was noticeable until when I visited my folks in Virginia about 3 weeks ago. Family and friends there noticed, particularly my cousins who are also into lifting.

I feel great about the gains so far, though I don't want to get too big, just nicely cut. Will start yoga tomorrow to help with flexibility.

It's been a year since I've started running and working out regularly. Hope to keep it up. Feels great (looks good, too). shog[1].gif

Hm, got a 10k competition today.
Weather is too hot, I've been running for 1-2 times per week and have already been swimming this morning.
Sounds like a PB?

OK, weather is just PERFECT in NYC this week...I'm gonna have to give it a try...lower back a little sore still, but feeling much better than Friday night...

Back home, was way too hot and I overpaced a little bit.
So I decided to let go after the first round, finished the 5k in 18:30
Result is okay with me, having in mind the 80k bike and swimming this morning plus the weather and lack of training...

edit. 18:23, official. Placed 15th..
