9 mile longer run. Heat is still a factor and so I took it easy and ran with an eye on my heart rate monitor.

16 miles for me - more or less the same time as last week and less tired at the end which I suppose is a result. Looking forward to doing 10 more in addition is not appealing I have to say...

10 with a five mile cross country race in 28:30. . . .
Splits were 530/538/541/550/539. The course was super tough, and it was my first time running in a college cross country meet. I beet some people that were pretty good, but was dead in the middle of the pack:
You can't tell here but I had like mud all up in my teeth . . . .

This morning, just over 9.5 miles. I'm a pretty old, so I'll just say, "under 11 minutes per mile".icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

18 mile - long weekend run. 85 degrees toward end of run. Tough run last 3 miles.

Ran in the Brooks Launch today. Not a bad shoe, but seemed a bit soft in the cushioning. At 9.1 oz, it is one of the "lighter" heavily cushioned shoes. Wraps nicely around foot and still room for medium socks. This one won't be my marathon shoe, but will be a good trainer. I believe it is narrowed down to the Brooks ST Racer 5 or the Saucony Mirage II. Both of those have good cushioning and are lighter overall.

The injini medium weight socks were great on the last few long runs. No feet problems for blisters and zero moisture.

Nice run, tough race, tough competition. Not sure what you were hoping for in splits, but those seems like pretty good ones to my non-college, non-XC racing eyes. Congrats.

On a sunny Labor Day morn, 4 miles at about an 8 min. mile pace. Pretty good for me. I avoided the hilly route, though.

8.5 km on a treadmill in Munich. It was good to run after a long flight.

12.1 miles. Beautiful morning. For these longer distances, I think I need to get a shoe with a bit more padding than the Minimus. Feets complained bitterly the last mile or so.
